Accounting and information
How records are created, checked and used.
FINANCE SYSTEMS DISCOVERY
We study how your finance operation works today: the people involved, the systems they use, the information they rely on and the work that slows them down. The result is a practical basis for deciding what to improve and what implementation should involve.
WHAT WE REVIEW
How records are created, checked and used.
How work moves between people and systems.
What information management needs and when it arrives.
Who prepares, reviews, approves and resolves exceptions.
Where information is stored, duplicated or disconnected.
Which repeatable tasks may benefit from integration or automation.
THE OUTPUT
The agreed Discovery scope can produce a current state map, a prioritized improvement backlog, a recommended future workflow and a roadmap for implementation. We explain the dependencies, the responsibilities and the areas where human judgment should remain.
Illustrative templates — these explain the approach and are not client results or a fixed deliverable commitment.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Discovery can involve your accountant, finance team, software providers and relevant external advisors. We agree responsibilities and access at the start. Any accounting support or Controller involvement included during Discovery is defined in the scope.
Quotation, responsibilities and deliverables are agreed before the paid engagement.
Implementation, software subscriptions and ongoing managed support are agreed separately unless the approved proposal expressly includes them.
The initial conversation is separate from paid Discovery, and ongoing operation is optional.
THE NEXT DECISION
After reviewing the findings, you can decide whether to request solution design and implementation. Ongoing operation is optional.
Identify friction, ownership gaps and control risks.
Define the future workflow, responsibilities and approval rules.
Connect systems and introduce tested automation.
Monitor performance, resolve exceptions and improve over time.
QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
We review the accounting, workflows, responsibilities, systems, reporting, controls and automation opportunities within the agreed scope. The deliverables and client responsibilities are confirmed before the paid engagement begins.
Not necessarily. We assess the current tools and workflows before recommending changes. The agreed plan may improve existing systems, introduce integrations or recommend replacement where justified.
We review the findings and recommended direction. If you choose to proceed, solution design and implementation are proposed separately. Ongoing managed support is optional; there is no obligation to proceed with a full transformation project.
